This position is responsible for the oversight and development of applications for use by Tractor Supply Company's (TSC) Marketing Team. This requires comprehensive knowledge of architecture, design, development, and implementation of marketing applications. Additional responsibilities include technical leadership, mentoring other team members, and leading projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

Manage the development and deployments of marketing applications & systems.Contribute to the overall architecture of the marketing Application Landscape.Allocate resources and supervise direct reports.Hire, develop, and motivate assigned staff.Review and analyze existing applications and system effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for IT area of responsibility in conjunction with department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders.Cultivate, disseminate, and enforce functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices.Sponsor, promote and execute on projects to prototype and pilot new technologies supporting the company's Marketing strategy.Required Qualifications

Experience:

8 or more years of equivalent work experience with 2 years of management experience leading a team. Experience in mobility and mobile applications is preferred. Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology. Retail experience is preferred.Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

Comprehensive knowledge of marketing systems and business processes.Superior ability to manage a team working with various programming languages such as Java, .net, and C.Superior negotiation and vendor management skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Superior ability to work independently and manage workload prioritization in order to deliver high-quality work products on time and with minimal direction.Superior critical-thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.Ability to develop new problem-solving approaches and formulate innovative solutions.Working Conditions

Normal office working conditions.Must be able to work some nights and weekends.Occasional travel to stores, distribution centers, and other business locations.Physical Requirements
