Position Description:

Develops and improves customer-facing software solutions to drive automation roadmap and goals. Writes clean, testable, and robust code using Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Spring, Web Services, Angular, and SQL. Tests and maintains application features using Selenium, Cucumber, ReadyAPI, and Rest Assured. Enables data integrity and quality automation process of data migrated from legacy mainframes (Oracle, IBM-DB2, and Hadoop) to Cloud warehouses using T-Shaped software development. Performs automated Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and data migration testing using iCEDQ platform. Improves User Interface (UI) components using React, Angular, and Vue. Builds automation pipelines using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools. Prepares test plans and designs to ensure 100% coverage of system functionalities. Automates data and Web-based validations. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing automation design and development for User Interface (UI), Web Services Automation, and ETL in AWS cloud environment and for report validations.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing automation design and development for User Interface (UI), Web Services Automation, and ETL in AWS cloud environment and for report validations.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing automation framework for ETL testing, Feed File to database comparison, and database to database comparison; writing complex SQL queries for validations; and automating Tableau and Cognos dashboards testing using data permutation combinations.

DE designing and developing automation frameworks, using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Java, and Python; developing UI automation frameworks for Web-based applications using Page Object Model (POM); validating requests and API responses, using REST Assured; and generating custom regression reports to validate requests and API responses of JSON content.

DE executing data validation in the AWS cloud environment using Parquet files and AWS Athena; conducting Parquet file validations in S3 buckets and Pyspark validations using EMR; and executing data flow validations in Airflow; and automating validations between source and target tables.

DE performing automated CI/CD pipeline execution using Jenkins; performing continuous integration (using Artifactory) and source control management (using Git stash or Bitbucket) within an Agile development environment; debugging code, using IDE tools (Eclipse Oxygen); and writing Unix commands to modify and view data in files using Putty.

Salary: $123,656.00 - $139,100.00 /year.
