Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to help support the JSP ETM-NG program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Day Shift Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday - 7:00-3:30 (flexible)

Due to the nature of work, telecommuting is not allowed and will require the employee to report full-time onsite.

As a Senior Network Engineer supporting JSP ETM-NG, you will review and evaluate IT infrastructure and systems to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards. Responsibilities include:

Designing, planning, and building communications networks.

Configuring routers, switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators.

Coordinating LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and enhancements.

Monitoring the network utilizing industry-leading technologies.

Providing innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process.

Planning implementation of enhancements.

Analyzing customer requirements and providing technical solutions.

Performing maintenance and upgrades of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and remote access systems.

Maintaining network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies.

Coordinating the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services.

Creating plans and configuring systems for data communication networks.

Evaluating new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology.

Designing and building hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.

Providing guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel.

What you'll need to be successful:

Understanding and hands-on experience with complex architectures and enterprise information systems.

Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field OR work experience in lieu of degree.

5+ years of experience in Network Administration.

IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M.

One of the following Networking Certifications - Brocade, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP), Aruba.

Hands-on experience/knowledge with Aruba networking systems.

Willingness to report onsite as indicated above.
