Job Location: 6021 Connection Drive, Irving, Texas 75039 and various, unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the US.
Job Type: Full Time
Duties: Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. Design, configure and manage big data implementations on premises and in the cloud. Support cloud and On-prem servers including security configurations, patching and troubleshooting. Setup authentication for Hadoop services which includes setting up Kerberos principals and integrated with active directory. Setup role based authentication using sentry and ranger services. Implement data protection using HDFS encryption at rest with KMS services. Set up high availability configuration for Hadoop services. Involved in performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Spark/Impala services. Troubleshoot Python/Scala programs and provide feedback to data science engineers. Plan and perform Hadoop cluster upgrades. Monitor and report on performance metrics, system health and logging compliance on cloud. Perform database administration tasks including backup and recovery, troubleshooting, performance tuning and SQL optimization.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field and two of experience in the job offered or two years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Position also requires one year of experience in each of the following:
