The director will lead GATORWORKS Special Technology Programs and will be responsible for the business P&L - identifying technology, developing strategy, expanding customer/industry partnerships, and delivering through program execution the propulsion solutions and technology that will differentiate P&W Military Engines portfolio into the future.
Job Description:
Manage the STP P&L, $50M-100M annually
Lead the STP Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT)
Owner/leader of multiple classified programs, facilities, and systems in both P&W CT and FL locations.
Primary Point of Contact (POC) for multiple Government offices
Primary POC and relationship manager for multiple aircraft prime contractors
Owner of Pratt & Whitney discretionary plans for survivability technology and technology roadmaps/plans
Participate in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes including coordinating preparations of proposals, business plans, work statements, operating budgets, specifications and financial and business terms of contracts
Develop new business and expand current business
Provide executive level briefings for internal and external customers
Identify and react to program obstacles/problems and create solutions, such as re-allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
Manage a multi-functional program team
A familiarity and working knowledge of survivability technologies is critical.
Experience is required in the areas of propulsion system integration along with a working knowledge of inlet, turbomachinery, and exhaust system functionality
Responsible for review of military related invention disclosure and owner of a classified patent review process
Familiarity and experience with working in a classified environment and handling classified materials is critical.
A reasonable amount of business travel is expected as work must be conducted in person, position is expected to be 100% in the office
Basic Qualification:
BS Degree in Engineering or Business
14 years of broad technical and program management experience
Strong propulsion &/or survivability technology background
Knowledge of aircraft or engine Low Observable technology, stealth and associated capabilities
Knowledge of jet engine architectures, performance and support
Candidate must be a US citizen and must have a security clearance as the position will involve working on classified programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to work and motivate internal/external customers and cross-disciplinary team members
Requires advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
Salary Range:
171,000 USD - 343,000 USD
