experienced in leading projects with a penchant for precision to join our team as an Engineering Project Manager in the dynamic world of the Facilities Division Design and Construction Branch.As our Architect/Engineer Project Manager, you'll design and estimate costs for new buildings and renovations across Navy Exchanges and Lodges worldwide, while selecting top-notch architectural and engineering firms to bring our visions to fruition.Your responsibilities will include budget forecasting and cost estimation, ensuring every penny is accounted for, whether it's a multi-million-dollar shopping complex or a humble renovation project.This position requires a current, valid Architecture or Engineering Licensure. Applicants without a valid license will not be considered.Overview:
Job Summary:
Grade: NF05, Salary Code 5A.Licensed architect or engineer as Project Manager in the Facilities Division Design and Construction Branch. Performs professional architectural engineering work in connection with the preparation of scope written descriptions, schematic drawings, and fixture plans of projects. Manages and coordinates design prototype standards, fixture plate schedules, construction, and budgets.Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and/or reviews designs and estimated costs of construction of new buildings and renovations of Navy Exchanges, Mini-Marts, Warehouses, and Navy Lodges worldwide.Develops budget costs for new projects from preliminary plans and system-wide functional requirements from Navy Exchanges.Prepares scope of project, written description, and schematic drawing of projects.Provides resource forecasts and constraints for NEXCOM departments to support/inform project decisions.Thoroughly understands the plans and specs of the assigned projects.Attends meetings of panels convened by NAVFACENGOM to slate and select qualified A/E firms.Actively participates and represents NEXCOM in pre-negotiation, pre-design, and coordination meetings.Reviews and coordinates with an executive agent in scheduling and siting problems.Reviews design submittals of contracted architects and engineering firms for functional, technical, and aesthetic adequacy.Monitors construction progress through NAVFAC, USACE, and DeCA.Develops prototype designs, fixture/finish plates, and technical manuals.Travel extensively to resolve on-site problems and to do field inspections of facilities scheduled for renovations.Attends professional conventions, seminars, and trade shows.Works under the general supervision of the Branch Manager.Performs other related duties as assigned.The position requires travel to various locations that may account for 15% of job responsibility.Requirements:

Degree in architecture or engineering or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture/engineering or related disciplines.ORA combination of education and experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the arts and sciences underlying professional architecture.AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Four years of responsible experience demonstrating knowledge of all architectural/engineering aspects of construction/renovation projects.Candidate must possess a valid architecture or engineering license.
