The OpportunityAbbott Diagnostics division seeks to hire a Software Product Manager based full-time in our Lake Forest, IL office. This role will play a pivotal role in bridging our clients’ needs with innovative solutions that enhance client and patient experiences. The position will lead the product strategy, roadmap planning, execution, and stakeholder management for our next-generation software products. The work will drive value and differentiation, contributing to our mission of improving lives through better health and energy management.What You’ll Work OnProduct Strategy Development:Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to identify market needs and opportunities.Benchmark best-in-class competition and emerging technologies.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements.Define product strategy and roadmap.Prioritize features based on clients’ business value and feedback.Product Planning and Execution:Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch activities.Develop detailed product epics, features, stories, and acceptance criteria.Coordinate with engineering, design, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, clients, and vendors.Product Performance Analysis:Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success and impact of software products.Analyze data and user feedback to evaluate product performance, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision-making.Prepare regular reports and presentations to demonstrate product achievements and address challenges.Comply with regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; master’s a plus.3-5 years of experience in product management roles, preferably in software development or technology-driven organizations.Proven track record of managing successful IT/software products from conception to launch and post-launch activities.Ability to travel 10%.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into actionable product plans.Ability to deliver clear and compelling presentations to diverse audiences, including executives, customers, and technical teams.Experience with creating product documentation, release notes, and training materials.Budget management skills.Agency management skills.Apply Now
