The Nutrition Pillar Lead is a salaried full-time position working 40 hours per week. After 30 days, health, dental, vision, and life insurance will be available. After a 90-day review, this position is subject to a raise. There may be weeks when additional time may be required, including special weekend events, marketing opportunities, and community engagement.
Fit to Recover is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide a safe place for people in recovery from substance use disorders to connect through fitness, nutrition, creative arts, and community service. We aim to bring balance to our lives through our four pillars: Nutrition, Community Service, Creative Arts, and Fitness. We accomplish this through group cooking classes, artistic endeavors, service outreach, and sports & exercise.
Overview:
The Nutrition Pillar Lead is responsible for various aspects of treatment center and community nutrition. The individual will build community partnerships, maintain current and seek new treatment center partnerships, and build community around food (CMP, cooking classes, group education, etc.).

Responsibilities:
Cooking and Nutrition Education Classes (on-site and off-site)
Community Meal Prep (in-person and pick-up)
Emails, social media, and community building events
Managing Food Service Coordinator
Managing Nutrition Assistant
1:1 Counseling
Education/curriculum development
Managing nutrition budget(s)
Meeting annual revenue goals
Recipe development
Developing and maintaining partnerships with current/new organizations
Other Items:
Supporting FTR Community Events
On-site Garden
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in clinical nutrition, health/exercise science, or nutrition-related field
Food Handlers Permit
Must be able to work weekends & holidays on occasion
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with active status through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (www.cdrnet.org)
Familiar with Intuitive Eating & HAES approach
Experience with eating disorders
Management experience
Food service experience
Cooking experience
