R0094968Position SummaryAs the High-Skills Network Technical Lead, your main responsibility will be to ensure the ongoing support and reliability of all components within the LSEG ecosystem, including platforms, networks, applications, and services. In this role, you will provide 4th-line support to the Network Products and Services functions, ensuring the operational stability and adaptability of the LSEG global network. Your key focus will be on creating and maintaining software automation that improves the reliability and availability of digital platforms and their software delivery pipelines.Role ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain systems, software, and applications across various domains to achieve high-quality outcomes.Make technical design and amendment decisions independently, leading the workload effectively.Analyze data and understand business requirements to translate them into technical requirements.Complete relevant reporting documentation, ensuring adherence to internal and external standards.Collaborate with other business areas to schedule and coordinate capacity and network upgrades, meeting service level objectives.Lead upgrades when vital, coordinating efforts with internal teams and third parties.Build accurate documentation and monitor system performance to contribute to business activities and continuous improvement.Support the deployment of emergent engineering patterns across development teams.Coordinate design work within the infrastructure and network domain.Preferred Skills and Experience:A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field is essential.Previous roles in architecture or engineering are valuable.Significant experience in technology-focused positions is crucial.Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols, with a preference for CCIE certification, is highly desirable.5+ years of prior experience as a Network Engineer.Prior experience working as a Network Engineer in low-latency network and/or with FIX protocols.Proven years of experience in network products and services, ideally working with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista technologies.Expertise spanning LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP, and OSPF is vital.Knowledge of multicast concepts, including IGMP, RP, and PIM, is beneficial.Familiarity with low-latency technologies commonly deployed in the financial sector is advantageous.Excellent knowledge of network packet analysis and packet capture tools is important.Experience with Data Centre Networking, including Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, and related technologies, is valuable.Understanding cloud environments and knowledge of network security, including standard processes, is beneficial.Familiarity with load balancing technologies, TCP/IP, and multicast in internet environments is important.Proficiency in required Service Management processes, ideally with ITIL knowledge, is advantageous.Exposure to the financial sector and its associated technologies is valuable.Proficiency in Python and Ansible allows for streamlined tasks.Strong spoken and written English language skills, combined with client management abilities, contribute to successful collaboration.About UsLSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
