We are currently seeking a Project Engineer for
our Irvine, California office
.
This position works closely with the Project Management team and provides support for the entire life-cycle of a construction project. Project Engineers must demonstrate knowledge in construction practices and provide coordination and administrative support to their assigned project teams. This position is intended for individuals to gain the experience and knowledge required to develop into an Assistant Project Manager at a general contracting company.
Key Responsibilities
Project start-up: complete new project updates in Procore system, distribute initial drawings and plans to all required team members, assist Project Manager with insurance and permits as needed, send Superintendent Field team toolkits
Schedule calls and meetings with internal and external project team members to ensure consistent communication flow throughout the duration of a project
Assist with buyout process
Review, process, and distribute submittals via Procore
Create and distribute weekly reports as requested by Project Manager
Process and maintain RFIs in Procore or similar system
Prepare, process, and distribute subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and change orders
Assist in preparation of closeout package process: collect documentation from subcontractors, vendors, architects, clients, and members of the internal project team
Other job responsibilities as assigned
Occasional travel to project site as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
Excellent MS Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills required
MS Project, Procore, and Timberline/Sage experience preferred
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage their time well on tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism
Strong presentation skills
Team-player and ability to build relationships well across the organization and team
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in California. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Schimenti’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and specific performance awards. In addition, Schimenti provides a variety of comprehensive benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, and paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
