We are investing in several bleeding-edge technologies such as 5G, Cellular V2X, Computer Vision, AI/Deep Learning, etc., and are working closely with global Automakers/Tier-1s, standards bodies, consortiums, and operators on pushing the boundaries. Qualcomm Automotive Team is looking for a Senior Engineer who can make a difference on many technology forefronts in the Automotive space, joining our growing multisite engineering organization.Job Responsibilities:Develop/Customize/Configure/fix issues in Linux and QNX software components for automotive platforms Board bring up on Customer hardware platforms based on QC chipsets.Develop middleware components (e.g., Lifecycle/Power Management, Software update, Safety applications etc.) on embedded Linux and/or real-time QNX platforms.Perform peer reviews, static analysis tests, continuous build, and unit testing of the software.Work and coordinate with teams located across geographies.Work in an Agile SW team and methodology (Scrum, SAFe etc.).Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.5-10 years of Hands-On Experience in Digital Cockpit Products. Experience in working on Adaptive Autosar is an added advantage.Expertise in kernel, device driver, BSP development, board bring up, porting, and customization on Linux and QNX platforms.Work experience and good knowledge of different application processor architectures, especially ARM-v9 / Qualcomm Auto 82xx/81xx series.Experience working on Linux and QNX system-level design with in-depth experience in architecting multi-threaded software components.Good knowledge of Object-oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), UML, experience in design tools such as Enterprise Architect and Rhapsody.Experience in deriving system and software architecture from customer requirements.Working knowledge in hypervisor and Inter Guest OS IPC/inter-domain communication and protocol implementation with other subsystems.Proficient in C++, C++ 14 and above with development experience on embedded/hard real-time systems (QNX).Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills on embedded targets (using tools like JTAG, gdb, Trace32, valgrind), and analyzing core dumps.Experience in triaging/pre-analysis of issues from system testing. Good knowledge of static code analysis and code coverage tools.Experience in performance analysis and performance optimization. Ability to work in a challenging environment, guide team members, and possess good customer-facing skills.Preferable to have experience in the Automotive domain.Applicants:
