Group Manager, Technical Program Management, Software Engineering Infrastructure
Meta, Bellevue, Washington, us, 98009
Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to advance the state-of-the-art cloud-scale infrastructure at Meta. Meta’s infrastructure is immense, both in its physical footprint and in the collection of products and services we support. We are in the midst of a fundamental transformation of this infrastructure - streamlining the developer experience while operating efficiently at rapidly increasing scale, and supporting the world’s leading AI workloads. This is one of the largest software engineering infrastructure projects that Meta has ever undertaken - and as the Group Technical Program Manager leading the TPM team, you will be at the heart of driving this transformation. In close partnership with engineering, product and other cross-functional teams, you will lead a high performing team of TPMs as it identifies technical problem statements, creates technical roadmaps, scopes programs to deliver technical outcomes with business priorities, and drives them to completion by aligning and leading large cross-functional teams.
Group Manager, Technical Program Management, Software Engineering Infrastructure Responsibilities:
Build and lead a team of strong TPMs capable of scaling with Meta through a period of continued high growth.
Manage, mentor, and grow the existing technical program management teams, fostering a strong, healthy, and productive team environment where everyone feels valued, can perform at their best, and has ample growth opportunities.
Lead from the front, leveraging your technical expertise to proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term infrastructure challenges with engineering leaders and stakeholders, while developing a long-term vision and an actionable near-term execution plan.
Build strong partnerships with technical and business leaders across the organization, ensuring that team resources are effectively aligned with company priorities.
Lead the structuring and optimization of the organization for efficient execution, including attracting top-tier talent and quickly filling gaps within the existing team to support growth.
Build and lead an organization centered on customer focus and clear communication, emphasizing decisive, fast-moving solutions, quick and constructive conflict resolution, and a “no barriers” approach.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience.
7+ years of people management experience leading teams to deliver technical programs or products from inception to delivery.
Experience in organizational coordination and establishing working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and with partners in different time zones.
Experience working autonomously across multiple teams, showcasing critical thinking and thought leadership.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working with technical teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in leading large-scale infrastructure reliability initiatives.
