Please contact Human Resources if you require an accommodation.BASIC FUNCTION:The role offers an historic opportunity to shape and sustain digital equity for all residents in New York State. Reporting to the Director for Research & Data Analysis, and assigned to support the Digital Equity team, the ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated background in qualitative and quantitative data analysis across a range of data sets and formats, experience with reporting for state and federal grants, robust program evaluation and monitoring skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with multiple stakeholders. A key responsibility is ensuring that the Digital Equity team is well informed and on track to meet its goals to build a robust, statewide digital equity ecosystem.WORK PERFORMED:Create, compile, and query data from a variety of sources, applying analytical procedures for validating and controlling the quality of data in ConnectALL systems, including the development of ConnectALL’s comprehensive asset inventory for tracking and reporting impacts across required measurable objectives for all Covered Populations through a multi-layered ecosystem approach (35% of effort).Monitor, track, report and publish data for ongoing state and federal grant deadlines (35% of effort).Engage with State and local government agencies to coordinate digital equity data and establish baselines to measure progress against State priorities such as economic and workforce development, racial equity, education, health, civic engagement, and more (10% of effort).Contribute to ongoing research and reporting of Digital Equity portfolio activities against defined and evolving digital goals (10% of effort).Create documentation of data collection and analysis protocols as needed to effectively support Digital Equity programs (10% of effort).MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education Level Required: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred. Associate’s degree with 7 years, direct relevant experience may substitute.Relevant Experience required: A minimum of four (4) years of experience in any of the following fields: economic development, government, urban planning, public administration, a related social science or not-for-profit area. Experience evaluating and reporting on data as part of large-scale or public programs addressing inequities through grant or policy interventions. Experience working closely with a policy team to translate data concepts into trends, themes, and responsive interventions.APPROXIMATE HIRING SALARY:
