is currently seeking a Cloud Engineer Insider Threat to join our team in Charlottesville, VA in support of the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC). NGIC is the Defense Department’s primary producer of ground forces intelligence. NGIC produces scientific and technical intelligence and military capabilities analysis on foreign ground forces required by warfighting commanders, the force modernization and research and development communities, Department of Defense, and national policymakers.Job Description:The Cloud Engineer Insider Threat will play a critical role in the maintenance, modernization, and further development of continuous monitoring plans and actions for an Army intelligence system. The Cloud Engineer Insider Threat will be responsible for designing, planning, and integrating containerized cloud computing and virtualization systems using modern deployment techniques such as IaC and CI/CD.Job Responsibilities:Design, plan, and integrate containerized cloud solutions utilizing native cloud containerization servicesAutomate configuration management and modernize network and systems administration functions (e.g., monitoring, logs, patching, updates).Develop processes and automation scripts for efficient deployment and operation of cloud and virtualization systems.Conduct testing of cloud systems to ensure reliability and performance.Evaluate and report on new cloud and virtualization technologies to enhance service capabilities.Develop strategies, teams, and roadmaps for IT modernization, focusing on automation and efficiency.Utilize expertise in Cloud, DevSecOps, and containerization to design and deliver modernized infrastructure solutions.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:Must be a
U.S. Citizen .Must
have
and be capable of maintaining a
U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI Clearance .IAT / IAM Level II Certification (Security+)Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (Professional experience may be substituted for degree)At least 8 years professional experience in an Information technology related field.Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud and virtualization systems.Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).Experience with automation tools and scripting languages for configuration management and deployment.Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud native containerization solutions.Ability to evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.Experience with Terraform, Ansible and bashExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications:Associate or Professional-level AWS Cloud CertificationExperience with Microsoft Azure
