Overview:East West Bank is currently seeking a Business Support Manager to join the Centralized Operations division. This position will be reporting to the SVP Deputy Director Centralized Operations; as an integral member of the team, this Manager will have accountability for managing and tracking to all Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance and/or Regulatory exam related issues including assisting with management responses, managements remediation actions and ultimately the timely and accurate submission.In addition, this individual will support all groups within Centralized Operations division on special projects as well as various system/application tasks, process changes, testing, upgrades, and implementations. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process enhancements and/or improvements. This position must possess strong deposit compliance and regulatory knowledge and be considered a subject matter expert in items relating to Centralized Operations and core deposit functions.Responsibilities:Develop a process to monitor and track all Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance and/or Regulatory exam related issues identified and collaborate with units to resolve and close escalated issues timely.Effectively manages communications to ensure that Senior Management and business units are aware of any significant risk changes or events, in a timely manner.Identify areas of improvement and/or process enhancements and offer solutions that will enhance and streamline processes/tasks.Understand and assist with testing and setting up of process controls tied to the banks core and ancillary deposit applications. Track system issues to identify root cause and confirm issue resolution.Execute the planning, analysis, integration and maintenance around system upgrades, process changes and enhancements to the core banking system as it relates to Deposits.Ability to create business requirements and project plans to support projects initiated by or involving Centralized Operations.Lead efforts associated to the inventory and maintenance of standard operating procedures for the Centralized Operations division.Serve as point of contact and represent Centralized Operations in cross-functional meetings as it relates to Deposit Operations.Ability to understand and then translate (both verbally and written) technical information to end users.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required, Masters degree or above preferred.10+ years deposit and retail banking operations and core banking systems experience required.Strong knowledge of deposit-based banking regulations.Must be able to work independently as well as part of a large group.Superior multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize in a frequently changing environment.Experience dealing with third party Deposit Operations vendors including those related to core banking systems (i.e., Fiserv, FIS, etc.).Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; professional communicator with the ability to present to senior level management.Ensure documentation, supporting materials and project plans are created/updates as it relates to active projects/implementations.Ability to effectively manage deliverables and drive execution against project timelines and requirements.
Compensation:The base pay range for this position is USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
