Runner & Custodian
Reports to:

Employment Status:
Full Time, Hourly Non-Exempt
Location:
San Antonio, Monterrey Iron and Toucan
Basic Purpose:
This role is key to the facility's production and operations. The main purpose of this position is to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and items that are needed for the facility. Deliveries need to be completed in an efficient and timely manner. It requires multitasking on several fronts to ensure operational effectiveness and departmental efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
Runner Responsibilities
•Deliver and pick up parts and equipment from various locations
•Ensure to obtain any signatures on any deliveries.
•Pick up and deliver lunch daily. Verifying order is correct prior to leaving restaurant.
•Maintain cleanliness of Runner Truck to include inside and outside.
•Make sure registration is up to date.
•Follow instructions placed on dry erase board
•Emergencies will be called in on the company phone and instructions given.
•Parts requests including requests from the yard are to be communicated to purchasing directly.
•Runs are to be completed before 3:30pm unless otherwise advised.
•Use best routes, drive safely, get in and out of vendor/supplier sites as quickly as possible
•Do not begin daily runs until after all cleaning is complete, unless otherwise advised
Cleaning
•Sweep/vacuum every morning at 7:30 and afternoon at 4:00pm
•Mop floors every morning by 8:00am
•Clean toilet surfaces, seats, sinks in each bathroom daily
•Wash bowl of all toilets every Friday
•Wipe down any open desk surfaces
•Collect and discard all trash and recycling bins at each desk and breakroom daily
•Wipe down tables & counter tops in all breakrooms and discard any trash
•Main Custodian's cleaning priority will be the main office
•The Runner's cleaning priority will be to be outside breakroom
General Maintenance
•Restock toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer as needed
•Restock vending machines as needed, notify front office of low inventory in frozen vending machine
•Check/replace air filters throughout office weekly
•Blow/clean out AC coils weekly
•Blow out AC handlers weekly
•Clean ice machine weekly
•Clean eye wash stations monthly
•Blow out computers monthly
•Special projects as needed may include moving furniture, storage items, painting, etc
Tool Room Custodian
•Keep supply room organized, neat and clean
•Maintain tool check out log and control inventory
•Notify purchasing when inventory levels are low
•Make hydraulic hoses as needed

•This position requires good attendance and punctuality.

Employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position, operate standard office equipment; must be able to lift 25 pounds. Must be able to stoop, kneel, squat, bend, climb ladders or stairs to perform safety inspections and/or investigations, walking around various facilities all day, while maintaining and managing all maintenance activities as required.
