SourcePro Search is conducting a search for an experienced Litigation Paralegal for our top rated law firm client to join their New York team.
What You'll Do:
Case maintenance (organization of files such as correspondence, pleadings, discovery, etc.)Utilize ECF/PACER to retrieve dockets and court filingsPrepare documents for e-filings including but not limited to NY Supreme.Work with large document productions, including production logs and privilege logsAssist with document reviewsAssist in all aspects of depositions (assembling binders/preparing exhibits) Digest/summarize deposition transcriptsUtilize Lexis and Westlaw to perform legal research and retrieve case lawCite check (bluebooking), shepardize and proof-read briefs and other court documentsPrepare for and support trials and arbitrationsWhat You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate a plus5+ years litigation paralegal work experienceStrong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, be accountable and work well under time sensitive deadlinesDemonstrate written and oral communication skillsStrong editing and proofreading skillsSolid working knowledge of all aspects of trialsProficient in Relativity, West Case Notebook and/or other databasesProficiency with PowerPoint a plus Travel and overtime required
