Public Relations Internship

The Reading Fightin Phils Internship is a great learning experience. Upperclassman and recent college graduates have the opportunity to get directly involved and gain hands on experience in various aspects of Minor League Baseball including marketing, sales, ticket operations, customer service, concessions, public relations, graphic design and many other aspects of the sports industry. The associates work directly with the front office staff to get an overview of all of the different positions. The Fightin Phils internship is a paid position. Full time associates may work approximately 32-40 a week during the off-season and approximately 80 hours a week during the weeks of home games.
The Media Relations intern will gain full knowledge of the day-to-day operations of the Fightin Phils Public/Media Relations department. This intern will assist with creating written content for the R-Phils homestand programs and website, help coordinate and fulfill interview requests from media members, create graphics for marketing materials, operate the pitch clock during the game, research statistics, maintain pressbox offerings, assist with lineup and stat distribution, and create social media content.
The position will begin late February and will last through mid-September.
