JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDrive customer loyalty in order to grow share of the account by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experienceManage business travel accounts to maximize business potentialNegotiate group business, guest room rates, meeting room rental, and hotel services within assigned markets that meets or exceeds hotel revenue goalsEnsure all pertinent aspects of solicitation, closing, and customer communications are complete and documented maintain existing accounts with active trace/follow up systemEnsure accurate and complete use of the sales system per SOP including recording all bookings and lost businessIdentifies and solicits new accounts from telemarketing, appointments, site tours, cold calls, and inquiries via email, phone, and in person interactionsDevelops, maintains, and prospects a Target List of accounts and communicates updates to DOSDetails BEOs with client for groups with meeting space and distributes with appropriate staff.Conduct pre- and post-conference meetings when it is agreeable with the clientAttends property specific receptions to generate leads and interact with customersOrganize and execute local area blitzesImplement special promotions relating to sales segmentEstablishes relationships with local businesses and organizations and is an active member in local industry associationsBuilds relationships with competitors in like roles to keep apprised of trends in the market and industry, and supply changesConsistently meet or exceed sales goals including predetermined revenue and sales activityOther duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED. Bachelor's Degree preferredPrior sales experience preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong analytical skills relative to impact on hotel revenuesAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingStrong understanding of revenue management principlesAbility to use reservation and revenue management systems to develop pricing and sales recommendationsExperience with Delphi.fdc preferredBENEFITS/ PERKS
