THE HIGH LEVEL
ALTA IT Services has an immediate need for an experienced Enterprise Datacenter Engineer interested in a remote opportunity!
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGSelected candidate will work directly with customer teams to provide advanced engineering services inclusive of both test and real-world environmentPerform highly complex technical tasks, solve highly complex technical problems or issues concerning customer's enterprise Cisco infrastructure and it's interconnections with other vendor's systemsSupport the management, functionality, and security of customer's Cisco inventory within the enterpriseParticipate in and support joint discussions with customer stakeholders on their overall software strategy to include the development of operating procedures and support documentationThe Enterprise Datacenter Engineer will engineer, design, implement and troubleshoot networking systems across the customer enterprise in customer owned and leased spacesLead implementations with multiple customer teams to accomplish mission goals.Assist with both high-level and low-level design documentationsEffectively work independently and within a team environmentWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Expertise with Cisco Datacenter Nexus switching, dashboard, fabric controller, insights, and data broker, as well as Cisco Routers, Palo Alto Firewalls, and F5 Network load balancers.Expertise with designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise level large, multi-site, multi-vendor Datacenters.Expertise in Automation of networking and server installation, vulnerability remediation, and configuration updates.Expertise with engineering and migrating to Virtual eXtensible Local-Area Network and Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).Demonstrated success using modern DevOps methods and tools including automated testing tools and monitoring tools.Demonstrated ability to drive frequent release cycles (daily/weekly).
Minimum Education Level - Current Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Datacenter Certification
Minimum 15 years' Experience as a datacenter engineer
spanning multiple locations.
Remote position; local proximity and ability to periodically work on customer site in Austin, TX or Cleveland, OH is highly desired.
Ability to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance (existing clearance strongly preferred)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
•Anticipated travel is up to 10%
