Director, Talent and Learning & Development
Job Summary:
The Director of Talent and Learning & Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive talent development strategies and programs that align with the company's business goals and mission. This role will focus on centralizing the L&D function across the organization and enhancing the skills and competencies of employees at all level fostering a positive employee experience and culture of continuous learning.
Essential Functions:
Talent Management and Leadership Development:Develop and execute talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.Implement leadership development programs and lead enterprise-wide succession planning.Oversee the performance management process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Collaborate with HR and business leaders to identify and close talent gaps.Create and manage leadership development programs to build leadership capabilities across the organization.Provide coaching and mentoring to emerging leaders.Learning & Development:
Design and deliver innovative learning and development programs that address the needs of the organization and changing workforce trends.Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.Lead the development of e-learning and blended learning solutions.Employee Engagement:
Lead cultural initiatives and develop strategies to drive a positive employee experience and workplace culture.Facilitate employee listening strategy, engagement survey and action planning.Drive change management initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with HR leaders and Business Partners across the enterprise and other functions to understand and address talent and learning needs.Build strong relationships with external partners and consultants to enhance the organization's learning capabilities.Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and support for talent and development initiatives.Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in talent management, learning and development, or a related field.Proven track record of designing and implementing successful talent and learning strategies.Strong leadership and team management skills.Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and other HR technologies.Key Skills & Competencies:
Strategic Thinking & Planning: Ability to align Talent and L&D initiatives with the organization's overall goals, ensuring the programs are future-focused and support long-term talent needs.Leadership & People Management: Strong leadership skills to manage teams, mentor staff, and influence stakeholders across the organization.Training & Development Expertise: In-depth knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design, and modern learning methodologies (e.g., e-learning, blended learning, coaching).Change Management: Expertise in driving change and helping employees navigate new systems, skills, and cultural shifts.Stakeholder Management & Communication: Excellent communication skills to engage executives, managers, and employees.Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of programs and use data to refine strategies.
