Job DescriptionEssential functions The essential functions of this position while meeting or exceeding annual goals and objectives are as follows: Administer the IMMI Quality System to ensure that all applicable requirements and customer expectations are met. Develop and maintain a clear understanding of IMMI products with a focus on product integrity, reliability, specification, and regulatory compliance. Work with the appropriate Product Engineering personnel, laboratory supervision and Director of Quality Assurance to develop tests which are designed to ensure that products follow IMMI internal and external customer requirements and that they meet or exceed all appropriate regulatory standards. Work closely with the appropriate Manufacturing Engineering personnel, Manufacturing Managers and Quality Engineers to ensure that all manufacturing processes are repeatable and in control and that work instructions are in place for every job and are being followed. Serve as the liaison with external divisional customers on all pertinent quality related issues. Respond to customer corrective actions in a timely and thorough manner. Maintain a comprehensive corrective action program using problem solving tools and root cause analysis to identify and address product/process integrity or reliability issues. Actively participate in the QMS internal and external audit process. Assist the appropriate Design Engineering, Product Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering personnel to conduct, develop and document Process and Design FMEA's, utilizing the APQP process. Evaluate and monitor customer returns for product/process improvement opportunities. Develop, monitor, and evaluate the supplier's quality systems and their ability to produce quality products that consistently meet IMMI print specifications and quality standards. Work with Purchasing to develop new, reliable sources. Assist in conducting initial survey visits to evaluate potential suppliers. Work with approved suppliers to help receive pre-inspected, certified components supplied directly to the IMMI manufacturing floor. Work closely with suppliers, IMMI Engineering, Purchasing and Quality personnel to address recurring quality issues, determine root causes and implement effective corrective actions. Monitor and maintain the Corrective Action Request (CAR) and Quality Performance Notice (QPN) systems to track timely, effective supplier responses to quality issues found at IMMI. Champion the use of APQP and PPAP tools with customers, suppliers and internally at IMMI. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, quality, or related field 5-7 or more years' experience in manufacturing with leadership/management experience preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail Comprehensive product knowledge; features, reading drawings, application, qualifications, and functions Appropriate certifications, education, and experience in manufacturing and vendor contracts Ability to effectively utilize software such as smart sheet, outlook, PDM, Microsoft, and other software as needed Must comply with legal and corporate responsibilities Functional Competencies These are the competencies that are specified within the relevant functions of the job. When in the warehouse, this position requires working with dirt/dust and noise. The use of a variety of proper PPE is required to provide a safe working environment. This position requires working with various temperature conditions.
