SYSCOM's client is seeking Technical Program Managers for a long term opportunity in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Technical Program Managers job duties will include but are not limited to the following:Develop understanding of the business environment and use that understanding to make informed decisions and drive resultsDefine program goals and objectives, and align them with the organization's strategyDevelop project plans and schedules, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgetsLead cross-functional teams to deliver programs and projects on time and within budgetManage risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as neededCommunicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including senior managementCollaborate with stakeholders and teams to ensure program and project goals are metEnsure compliance with program management processes and standardsProvide day-to-day support for on-going processesProvide on-going evaluation and improvements for processes; work in needed areas to provide technical support for agency's work demands.Expertise and experience in the following areas are mandatory - must meet ALL:
Bachelor's degree5+ years of relevant experienceStrong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and communicationStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including ExcelExperience with collecting, analyzing, and reporting key dataExperience in program evaluation including evidence-based practices and outcome measurementExperience navigating state government, business, and community landscape and various audiences/stakeholdersAvailable to work from Baton Rouge, LA on a regular basisExpertise and experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
Master's degree in business, mass communication, or related fieldsIndustry expertise in clean energy resilient hubs, utility-owned electric grid systems, and reduced-carbon energy resilienceExperience working with federal programs at the federal, state, local level, and/or private sectorExperience representing state government officials in public settingsExperience in and knowledge of the energy sector and its diverse stakeholdersExperience developing and implementing large-scale public initiatives and projectsExperience working across state government agencies to align and implement strategic prioritiesA working knowledge of regulatory and statutory compliance requirements for federal programsExperience communicating on behalf of appointed government officials and civil servantsComprehensive knowledge of state level grant program administrationExperience in partnership development with community groups, non-profit partners, and/or government agenciesHeadquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, SYSCOM, Inc. is a US-based company whose mission is to create and deliver the right technology solutions, by teaming with our customers to understand their business needs and empower them to achieve their goals.
