job summary:Tatum by Randstad is presently conducting a search for a Tax Manager for a well-established, rapidly growing, fast-paced PE Firm based in Irvine. This is a newly created role that will report to the Director, Tax.

responsibilities:The primary responsibilities in this role will include:
Work with external tax accountants to review and file federal, state, and other returnsLiaise with Director of Tax and external Fund Administrator to perform tax withholding analysis on distributionsCollaborate with the Investor Relations team to address investor-related tax questionsReview taxable income estimates and review tax distribution calculationsEnsure compliance with FATCA, CRS, and other tax regulatory regimesReceive, assess, and process federal and state tax regulatory noticesWork with Fund and external tax accountants to report annual 1099s and 1042sReview projection and annual Schedule K-1s/tax returns with Director of Tax for reporting accuracy before disseminating and filingDeveloping and maintaining tax plans, compliance procedures and risk assessment frameworks, to ensure effective tax management.Managing and overseeing the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax and other direct or indirect taxes.Collaborating Director of Tax to ensure our tax strategies and policies are implemented accuratelyIdentifying, tracking and reporting any potential financial risks or issues and working closely with Director of Tax and the accounting teams to implement appropriate solutionsMaintain recordkeeping and documentation of tax filings in accordance with tax policyqualifications:The ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS in Tax or a CPA preferred7+ years of income tax compliance and financial reporting experience with a combination of large public accounting firm and private equity internal tax departmentExperience managing relationships with external advisorsAbility to prioritize and communicate workloads to ensure tasks are completed timelyOrganized, detailed, proactive, self-motivated, collaborative, multi-tasker, and creativeExperience/familiarity with with Slack, Excel, Microsoft productsExcellent oral and written communication skills
