PRINCIPLERESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:
To present a positive first impression offriendliness, excellent service, and high standards. To greet all guests upon arrival and departurewith a smile and bid guest farewell as they leave. Remember you are the firstand last impression.
MAIN DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a cheerful, courteousdisposition and a neat, clean, and professional image. Welcome guests upon arrival. Reservation management of OpenTable gathering information. Escort guest as soon aspossible to appropriate table. Maintain a professionalworking relationship with employees and guests. Maintains proper phone etiquette. Gift card transactions. Performs reservationscall-backs. Maintain host/hostessarea/foyer clean/free of clutter. Enthusiastically engages guestsupon arrival. Manages waiting guests.Encouraging them to have a drink in the bar and that you will come get themwhen their table is ready. Designates table assignments. Escorts guest to assignedtable. Make the guest feel welcome,maybe engage in a brief conversation. DoNot rush the guest and Do Not walk too fast for the guest. When seating the table pullthe chairs out for ladies and hand the menus to the guest. Do not place the menu on the table or thechair. Remember it is your job tocontrol the flow of the restaurant. Keepcalm and notify the Manager if anything should arise. Notifies manager of unhappyguests. Inspects restrooms forcleanliness and calls the front desk for cleaning. Bids farewell to departingguests. Performs assigned side workduties. Assists mangers as directed. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,AND ABILITY
Requirements:
Abilityto use Open Table system. Stands/walksduring 6-to-8-hour shift. Ableto hear guest order and requests amidst loud, background noise. Maintainexpected level of personal appearance and hygiene consistent with The BoatClub's image. Maybe required to assist service staff during peak periods, watering tables, clearing,and resetting tables if need be Ableto manage unsatisfactory guest experience.
