We create dynamic relationships where our creativity can be visible through our customers culinary vision making Food Matter.As part of our quality team, under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, you will facilitate the daily operations of the QA department. You will be help ensure that we are able to safely deliver the best products to customers and consumers.Responsible for supporting the activities and systems of the Solina Quality Assurance Department. Ensures high quality products that meet customer expectations while maintaining compliance with FDA/other applicable regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Provides constructive insight to achieve company, plant, and department goals through various management, evaluation and improvement skills and strategies that improve overall quality and profitability. Manages and effectively follows up on multiple projects and assignments.Responsibilities:Responsible for directly supporting the Quality Assurance staff and providing technical assistance and insight for the Solina quality assurance departments throughout the US.Will assist in conducting root cause analysis for customer complaints and internal issues.Reviews analytical data to identify opportunities for improvement.Reviews SOPs and documents to ensure they are accurate to operating conditions and identifies opportunities for improvement.Assist QA managers with audit preparations (gather & review documents, compile lab reports, conduct annual training).Executes quality objectives as directed by the Quality Assurance leadership team as the adherence and execution of all company policies and programs associated with Foods Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance.Works with QA staff members to prevent process or product failures. Focuses on continuous improvement of product quality through the development of quality plans, process controls, attention to process details and specifications and quality training.Will assist quality management with document and SOP revisions, issuing, and creation.Will assist with internal audits to the BRC and core customer audit standards for all facilities.Works to drive continuous improvement suggestions to meet customer expectations and company goals.Associates degree (A.A./A.S.) from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 3+ years experience in manufacturing or related environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 4+ years experience in Quality Assurance systems to include team development and management, required.Experience in a manufacturing environment preferredQualifications:Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance principles, food science and food safety, SPC and statistics; preferred.Knowledge of Database software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet and Word Processing software; QMS system and Adage /Assistics.Ability to uphold regulatory, company and customer standards.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.Excellent planning and organizational skills with demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills.Must have the ability to complete required applicable forms in English, which requires the ability to read and write in English.May be required to work long hours and weekends.Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYNoTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSOn rare occurrence may be required to travel to different facilities.WORKING CONDITIONSWorking conditions described here are representative of those that may be experienced by an employee on a daily basis while performing the functions of this job.Typically sits for extended periods at a computer workstation.May access and work in the manufacturing plant.Office and plant setting. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.May be required to travel to other site locations during the workday.May be required to work weekends to meet department and business demands.Knows that safety shoes are recommended in the plant area.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
