Summary:Under the direction of and reporting to the Director of Renewable Energy & Business Development, the Electrician will primarily be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in civil construction projects for National Power customers. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with construction teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Core duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in civil construction projects.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.Conduct electrical inspections and testing to ensure systems are functioning properly and comply with codes.Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing effective solutions.Collaborate with construction teams to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.Provide guidance and supervision to junior electricians and apprentices.Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Education, Experience, and Other Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent5 to 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on civil projects.Valid electrician's license and certifications as required by state law.Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Work conditions and physical demands:
Travel up to 70%.Lifting and carrying heavy objects, up to 75lbs, will be requiredAscending or descending ladders, scaffolding, stairs, ramps and the like using feet/legs and/or hands/armsSeizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand(s)Pushing/pulling may involve the use of hands/arms, feet/legs, and/or feet, done with one side of the body or both sides.Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet to enter restricted spacesOccasionally, using one or both feet or legs to move controls on machinery or equipmentClarity of vision and color vision are both required (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computersSitting/Driving for long periods is frequently required
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive pay depending on previous experience and current certifications. Overtime is also a factor and is paid at 1.5 X base.
