Job Description
The Financial Reporting Manager serves as an essential member of the Financial Reporting team that is primarily responsible for the preparation and review of external and internal reporting. The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for preparing and review of financial reporting to management, joint venture partners, creditors and other users/readers. The position also is also responsible for financial analysis, translating data into useful reports and analysis supporting the management team in making informed decisions.
Lead and manage the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for both internal and external stakeholdersAnalyze current and historical financial results, perform variance analysis of key metrics, identify trends and recommend actionsSupport senior management team and department leaders with in-depth analysisProvide oversight of various financial analysis and develop financial models to support strategic initiativesDevelop and track key performance metrics against the company's strategic objectivesPerform peer benchmarking and industry analysis, and present findings to managementBe an integral part of various efforts to improve the efficiency surrounding financial reporting by developing automated processes and applicationsMaintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publicationsParticipate and lead special projects and perform other tasks as assignedQualifications:
Real estate and multi-family rental experience preferredThorough understanding of key real estate investment metrics and operational reportingAbility to independently problem-solve, research and summarize, as well as manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet critical deadlinesAdvanced knowledge of Excel and ability to create financial modelsFocus efforts on achieving high quality results consistent with the organization's standardsDemonstrate and support the organization's ethics and valuesExcellent verbal and writing skillsRequires an 'Executive Presence', process improvement and statistical analysis skills.Desire to utilize analytical skills in order to use the data to tell a storyAbility to effectively organize prioritize multiple tasks and deadlinesExcellent communication skills both written and verbalDemonstrated problem solving and decision-making skillsDemonstrated strategic and creative thinking abilityProven team player with the ability to guide and influence cross-functional teamsMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldsCPA and/or CFA preferredBig 4 CPA Firm Audit experience preferred5+ years related experience in accounting and data analytical combined with related work experience in business intelligence, analytics, and reporting, as well as thorough knowledge of GAAP principles

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.$117,950.00 - $196,580.00
