Whether you aspire to be a leader or a technical expert, this position will set you up for success in the future.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Manufacturing Engineer II position we are looking to fill has a strong emphasis on Assembly within our manufacturing environment. This includes exposure to new technologies and automated equipment which create opportunities for developing new technical skills. This position would be working in a hands-on manufacturing environment where safety & quality are of upmost importance. Individuals in this role can expect to work amongst various disciplines of Engineers, Maintenance, and Operations in our manufacturing atmosphere. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Establish safety and quality as top priorities throughout manufacturing practices, procedures, and equipmentAbility to prioritize and complete tasks and support production needs with limited supportResearch, develop, and implement new manufacturing technologies and processesWork with outside contractors to coordinate equipment repair, upgrade, or installationInitiate, develop, and implement cost reduction projects to assist the manufacturing plant in achieving operational KPI goalsUtilize lean/six sigma principles during project implementationLead and/or participate in manufacturing capacity increase initiatives to support sales growthPrepare appropriation requests for capital investmentsEnsure that the projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budgetAbility to communicate detailed technical information to an audience with various levels of technical understanding.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's or better in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or related)5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing environmentGood leadership and communication skills (courteous, professional, and positive)Self-starter with the ability to establish, prioritize, and organize responsibilitiesPreferred Qualifications:Ability to think outside the box to generate new improvement ideasAbility to work on multiple large projects with strict timelinesWe value our employees by providing:Competitive compensation based on skillsIndustry leading health, dental, and vision plansGenerous 401 (K) savings and profit sharingOn-site UW Health clinic, fitness center, and walking pathsEducation assistance and internal training programsElectric vehicle chargingMaternity & paternity leaveInterested in learning more on our robust benefits package we offer?
