Role Overview:

Our professionals are experienced in utilizing a variety of valuation standards, approaches and methodologies including:

Standards of value including fair market value, fair value, intrinsic value, and investment valueResponsible for managing and developing a staffOversight of on going projects and client relationshipsPremises of value including going concern, fair market, and liquidationValuation approaches and methodologies including:Market approach: guideline company method, merger and acquisition (transaction) method, market pricing for services, compensationSales comparison approach; utilizes recent transactions, selection of appropriate units of comparisonIncome approach: discounted cash flow method, capitalization of earnings method, etc.Asset approach: discrete/collective revaluation of assets and liabilitiesCost approach: estimation of costs to replicate a service or assetFinancial statement analysis including ratio, common-sized, and trend analysesDiscount/capitalization rates including buildup method, capital asset pricing model, weighted average cost of capital, and other quantitative approachesMinority interest discounts/control premiumsDiscounts for lack of marketability including restricted stock studies, pre-IPO studies, and other quantitative methodsIntangible asset valuations, entity valuation issues regarding C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, sole proprietorshipsRequirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience with direct experience in performing bank valuations for financial reporting purposes. This experience will include valuing loan portfolios, core deposit intangibles and customer relationship intangiblesUndergraduate degree required, emphasis in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferredValuation experience in other segments of financial services such as: insurance brokerage, specialty finance and mortgage banking a plusProgress towards achievement of ASA, CVA, CPA, and/or CFA designation is a plusApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Senior Associate/Director level will be determined throughout the evaluation process.
