Job Duties
This position provides a full range of legal and administrative support to 3 to 4 litigation attorneys, including typing legal documents, briefs and correspondence from hard copy, filing, answering telephones, responding to citizen inquiries, creating/maintaining legal databases, managing docket/correspondence control for attorneys, and record keeping. Duties may include maintaining case management database and/or some operational support for Attorney General staff located at a regional office. Additional duties include maintaining a case management database and serving as the regional office manager responsible for coordinating office supplies, maintenance requests, security protocols, and fleet vehicle support for the regional team.
Minimum Qualifications
Should be proficient in MS Word, encompassing the preparation of litigation documents (including briefs and tables of authorities), memoranda, and correspondence.Workload demands typing skill of at least 65-70 wpm.Candidates must be detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to work proficiently in an intense, litigation-deadline environment.In addition, candidates must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as a team player in covering the work of others when the situation demands.
Additional Considerations
Experience in LawBase case management software is desired, but not required.
