Key Duties Include Summary Description This position uses knowledge of Kingspan products, general construction practices and building science to provide technical support to sales, installers, specifiers and end users. Technical Support Specialist works closely with the sales team to achieve specifications at the architectural, developer, installing contractor and mechanical engineering levels. With its US headquarters in Atlanta, GA, Kingspan Insulation, is a leading manufacturer in energy efficiency and moisture management products, offering high performance insulation, building wraps and pre-insulated HVAC ductwork. The vast product range includes optimum, premium, and high-performance rigid insulation products which have many advantages over traditional insulation materials. Its products are among the most thermally efficient and technically advanced insulation materials available. Essential Duties Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned. Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment. Produce drawings for roofing take offs and layout drafts for roofing systems that incorporate Kingspan Insulation products. Conduct thermal performance and insulation calculations for roofing and wall systems to ensure compliance with energy efficiency standards. Create, revise and update drawings based on feedback or changes in project scope. Work closely with sales team, and project managers and customers to ensure accurate project documentation. Provides technical support such as: product information, product installation, U value calculations, competitive product analysis and energy modeling. Monitor phone and email inquiries from internal sales, distributors, contractors, architects, engineers and design professionals. Prepare and distribute products specifications, installation guides, technical letters, submittal sheet and technical bulletins. Create inspection reports based on information submitted by sales and customers Issue Warranty Certificates after verification of appropriate products are used and proper installation practice is followed. Address warranty coverage issues when questions arise. Work with Compliance and Quality team to address customer complaints with Kingspan Products Recommends modifications to products and services to meet customer needs and keep up to date with industry trends. Support Testing and Marketing departments with technical support and installation protocols. Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations and market demands. Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of Compliance Management System. Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree or Certification program in drafting, architecture, engineering or a related field. Two (2) to three (3) years of prior experience. Travel: 10% Must have: Ability to quickly grasp and apply building codes, industry standards, compliance procedures, and relevant legislation to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the application process. Willingness to acquire in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services, including technical design specifications and certifications, tailored to each customer. Proficiency or experience in using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD. Experience with standard business applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills, with proven interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. Effective time management skills to successfully prioritize and complete multiple tasks. Must be able to: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while ensuring adequate time is dedicated to task completion. Accurately document records, including discussions and agreed-upon actions, in a timely manner. Adapt to shifting priorities and communicate effectively to set realistic expectations for task completion. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards, seeking clarification from appropriate personnel when necessary. Demonstrate perseverance and a strong work ethic, putting in extra effort to achieve goals and meet targets when needed.
