job summary:About the role:
Collaborate with business leaders to define requirements and priorities and to proactively understand and update metric logic and definition
Develop technical requirements (e.g., aggregation level, granularity) based on metrics established by business teams
Design logical data model and orchestration requirements
Own and manage logical data model for the Enterprise Analytics team in tandem with ingestion and curation leads
Oversee data catalog entries and enforce data cataloging rules
Manage access controls for end data products
Manage change requests to the structure, definitions and/or security of identified data objects
Communicate with the Business Data System Owner and Business Data Steward on metric updates
Act as escalation point for Data Quality Analysts when defined processes are insufficient to resolve issues
About you:
Hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, economics, or MBA
Bring 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data analysis
Have hands-on experience with and understanding of the following:
SQL
Python or other programming language
Databricks or other cloud data management platform
Technical and business data cataloging
Logical data modeling, including experience designing logical data models
ETL/ELT tools such as Apache Airflow
Data dictionary development
Bring proven experience in data management, requirements management, and metadata management
