Dentsply Sirona's Sarasota, FL location is looking for someone to join our team as a Shipping Clerk.

The shipping clerk is responsible for the picking, packing and labeling of product as per sales order requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understands how to operate within inventory management systemPicking ordersProduct MovesReceivingLabel printing. Identify the different labels by product category.Labeling of products as per sales order requirements.Differentiate customer classes.Be able to submit transfer requests.Understands department metrics and performs accordingly to meet them.Able to identify nonconforming product.Be able to operate shipping computer to process shipment of orders.Be able to schedule freight shipments by phone or by web.Follow cleaning procedures.Follow established company policiesFollow all established health and safety policiesAssist as necessary in departmental processes.Communicate with supervisors as well as other employeesKnowledge of GMP.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Basic computer skills for using scanners, PC, and other equipment.Dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential.Ability to read, write and communicate in English.May be required to operate company owned or leased vehicles and trucks.Must have safe driving record, valid driver license, and be able to pass DMV background check.Ability to safely operate company owned or leased vehicles on public and private roads.May be required to safely operate powered industrial trucks ( Fork truck, wave picker, pallet jacks, etc.)Prior experience in Shipping procedures and various freight vendors helpful.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/GED preferred or combination of equivalent experience and educationENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Limited temperature fluctuations, air condition environmentExposure to general manufacturing environmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours at a time.Have normal eye/hand motor coordination and the ability to grasp and hold small objects.Must be able to climb stairs to retrieve and store packages.Must be able to climb ladders to retrieve and store packages.Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach with hands and arms several times a shift.Possess a normal extended reach.Consistently uses manual dexterity.Have the ability to determine color acuity.Must be able to transport, lift, and demonstrate materials, product and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
