DescriptionThis Quality Control Manager position will work on-site at various project locations to cover for vacations, various short-term needs, or may be assigned to a longer-term project as the onsite Quality Control Manager. When not assigned to a specific project, the Quality Control Manager may be assigned to assist the estimating department or the proposal department. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural) and good math and writing skills. Must be able to travel up to 90% of the time and work on-site for an extended period of time. Experience on large DoD construction projects and current CQM certification expected. In this position you will:Serve as Quality Control Manager floater, working on-site at various project locations short or long termTake appropriate action to ensure that work is performed in accordance with ECC Quality Control Program, the design, the contract specifications, pertinent building codes & practices as well as national and local standardsManage effort to close out the project in a timely mannerInitiate stop work or re-work in coordination with the project team in circumstances where nonconformance to prescribed work methodologies occursEnsure implementation, documentation, and close-out of corrective actionsAuthor and log Requests for Information (RFIs)Author quality related documentation (reports, logs, and records), completing required information for daily reports and client communications in a timely and accurate mannerProcess submittals to ensure that they meet the contract and project requirements and are submitted to the client as required and in a timely matter.Inspect and document the receipt of all materials to ensure compliance with contract documentsEnsure the appropriate and required testing program is implemented; evaluate, review, monitor and document resultsFacilitate QC meetings and document minutes Ensure implementation of the Three-Phase Control Process in accordance with Company standards and contract requirementsWork to actively promote and support the safety program with subcontractors and project team members on a daily basisIn addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.RequirementsThe ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tactAn aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoningDemonstrated success in teaching others quality concepts and requirementsSuccessful leadership of subcontractors and project teams in support of quality endeavorsGood math and writing skillsFive years of work experience in a position directly related to quality control on large construction projectsMust be able to travel up to 90% of the time and work on-site for an extended period of timeExperience on large DoD construction projectsCurrent CQM certification Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural) Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety and Health or related fieldFamiliarity with workplace health and safety conceptsApplicable Certification in QualityProven ability to use USACE Resident Management System (RMS)OSHA 30 Hour Construction CertificationACI CertificationAmerican Concrete Institute (ACI) certification (any level)United States Army Corps of EngineersProfessional Engineer (PE) licensee or demonstrates a knowledge level successful completion of USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors course ECC targeted US base salary range is $90,835 to $130,976 annually.
