Job Title: Industrial ElectricianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician - Maintenance Technician to join our team in Alliance, OH. This position offers afternoon or night shift hours with mandatory overtime. The pay rate ranges from $27 to $34 per hour, depending on experience. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting from 12v-480v and 3 phase systems.ResponsibilitiesPerform industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting from 12v-480v and 3 phase systems.Troubleshoot electrical issues in the plant, including circuits, motors, lighting, control boxes/panels, and machine controls.Conduct minor mechanical work on conveyors, gears, and bearings.Assist in repairing facility equipment, including conveyors, robotic arms, rollers, furnaces, and mobile equipment.Participate in special installations and projects.Understand and interpret drawings and schematics.Essential SkillsMinimum 4 years of previous industrial electrician/maintenance experience.Experience with 480v and 3 phase systems.Experience with machine repair and troubleshooting.Proficiency with circuits, OHMs, motors, panels, sensors, switches, and photo eyes.Ability to read and interpret schematics.High School diploma or GED required.Additional Skills & QualificationsJourneyman Card holders will be offered the top rate without needing to take the Ramsey test.Trade School Certificate for Journeyman Course, Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience is preferred.4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.Willingness to offer minimal training to individuals working towards obtaining their Journeyman's card.Why Work Here?Free healthcare, sign-on bonus, and consistent pay increases. Work EnvironmentThis position is in a union environment within a heavy industrial and sometimes dirty setting. Can be hot, while the rest of the plant maintains fair temperatures. It can be loud around the tube drop-off areas. The work environment is laid back and not very physical. It takes 800 working hours to be brought into the union, with dues payable after 30 days. Employees can bid on positions once in the union and eventually secure a set shift. The work involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat. The noise level is typically loud. Employees must be open to working all shifts and will work 50-60 hours every week.
