The successful candidate will utilize not only their accounting and financial knowledge but also their leadership skills and business acumen. In this fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, we need someone to serve as the Presidents business partner to not only improve upon traditional accounting and financial processes, but also to provide the President with visibility to the business and to drive toward key objectives.The Vice President Finance will report directly to the Business Unit President of Scientific Products global multimillion dollar business. The Vice President Finance will drive and support strategy development and execution, annual planning, forecasting, management reporting and team development. Partnering with the Business Unit President, the Vice President Finance will assist in developing and implementing a growth strategy to achieve financial and strategic goals that outpace industry competitors.Specific Responsibilities+ Integral member of the Business Unit leadership team while leading the business finance function+ Serve as a strategic partner to business leadership on financial and strategic issues to support global growth+ Ensure that financial activities and strategic direction are managed to maximize return and profitability+ Accelerate financial value by supporting the execution of strategy and annual planning including capital deployment, understanding of ROI, ROIC, value drivers and KPIs+ Provide financial management information such as customer product line, and operational / business management metrics to support sound business decisions+ Provide financial implications of current and proposed business activities+ Support acquisition joint venture and partnering opportunities+ Communicate effectively and proactively to highlight opportunities share strategic insights and describe implications+ Provide timely and accurate budgets financial trends and forecasts+ Provide financial implications of current and proposed business activities+ Develop and maintain positive relationship with the Finance team and its internal customers+ Build key relationships across the organization???????Candidate QualificationsThe Vice President Finance must possess strong operational and strategic financial experiences and tools including:+ Proven business unit CFO experience with 8 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, forecasting and financial planning+ Demonstrated experience as a strategic partner to a General Manager on financial and strategic issues which support global growth and business objectives+ Experience leading a finance function in a manufacturing company; ideally with engineered products and systems+ Experience identifying opportunities to improve business performance+ Well-rounded financial management expertise in operating finance financial planning and analysis, annual planning, reporting, accounting, and merger & acquisition support+ Prior experience integrating ERP/financial systems+ Experience developing and retaining a high performing team+ International experience is required+ M&A experience is desirableLeadership QualificationsThis position requires a candidate with strong analytical and collaboration skills who can navigate and manage complexity+ Strategic Partner to President and leadership team+ High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation+ A collaborative and flexible style with a strong service mentality+ Strong communication skills+ Strong business acumen+ Ability to lead teams directly as well as manage by influenceEducation+ An undergraduate degree in Business or the equivalent is required+ An MBA degree and/or a CPA is a plusHSEAll managers are responsible for creating a positive safety culture and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
