Overview:
The IT Regional Manager will be a high energy, strategic, agile, business savvy leader who will be responsible for the technology operations across various hotel properties. The individual will act as an enabler of technology services for various hotels within the Davidson Hospitality Group (DHG) portfolio.This position is budgeted for $90,000 - $110,000 per year.Responsibilities:The IT Regional Manager role is responsible for coordinating all technology related services across their assigned properties. The role will be responsible for multiple properties across the US, ranging from branded properties across major banners to independent Hotels & Resorts.The primary responsibilities include coordinating all IT services in partnership with managed service providers in areas such as:Project ManagementIT StrategyProperty EngagementBrand Technology StandardsVendor ManagementAsset ManagementSupport EscalationCapacity ManagementTechnology Financial ManagementCyber SecurityComplianceAdditionally, the position is responsible for providing guidance to hotel leaders and suggesting the potential application of technology innovation for properties in their assigned portfolio.Specific responsibilities include:Lead the implementation of initiatives across the assigned portfolio with emphasis on effective and transparent execution.Develop an IT strategy for the assigned properties that aligns to the companys overall business strategy and property standards.Act as the technology liaison to the property and ownership teams providing advice and support in all technology related initiatives.Coordinate with brand leaders to ensure compliance of property services to brand specifications and standards.Recommend effective standards to independent properties based on requirements.Coordinate efforts of technology providers on behalf of the property to maximize value (including software providers, MSPs and other technology partners).Maintain an accurate inventory of all technology related assets and coordinate replacements as necessary or as mandated by brand standards.Act as an escalation point for high impact incidents affecting the operations of the properties.Manage the capacity of all services and recommend improvements as needed.Provide financial transparency for all in-property technology services.Develop and maintain balanced scorecards for properties in line with established KPIs.Coordinate the development of annual property budgets (capital and operating).Provide visibility and tools for properties to manage their total cost of technology.Lead the technology component of hotel transitions into DHG management portfolio.Lead brand conversions efforts across the entire property footprint.Develop and maintain effective business continuity and disaster recovery plans for all properties under management.Coordinate the implementation and sustainable operation of the propertys Cyber Security framework (NIST).In partnership with the property leadership, develop solutions to improve guest satisfaction via the effective use of technology.Own the relationship of all technology partners on behalf of the properties.The position will work closely with various customers as follows:Property Steering Committee made up of the Hotel General Manager and direct reports.DHG Regional Leadership (operations, finance, human resources, marketing).DHG Corporate IT Leadership
Qualifications:The IT Regional Manager will be an innovative, passionate, and dynamic leader, excellent communicator and collaborator. She/he must be able to effectively manage technology services in a multi-unit complex environment.Prefer 7+ years technology experience in fast paced, multi-location business models.Solid understanding of hospitality technology is highly preferred.Able to operate in a dynamic, fluid organization, able to adjust to changing priorities.Proficiency in Project Management and the ability to manage multiple projects.Solid problem-solving skills able to navigate complex challenges.Self-starter with a passion to deliver solid results.High degree of knowledge of project budgets in hospitality related environments.A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication and ability to communicate across all levels of the organizationAbility to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.A heightened sense of urgency given the nature of the hospitality business.Good conceptual understanding of the operations of a full-service hotel.Collaborative nature with a clear focus to always do what is right.Willingness and passion to learn new concepts.Participate in development of long-range planning for new projects and facilities.In-depth technical knowledge of current hardware.In-depth technical understanding and able to be hands on as required.Solid knowledge of networking technologies.Ability to travel as required (estimated 25-40%)Bachelors Degree and/or technical degree(s) preferred. Technology related certifications will be a plus.
