This is an employed Adult Hospital Medicine opportunity.Central Maine Hospitalists are employed by and committed to our own non-profit health system, Central Maine Healthcare. Our Hospitalist physicians, including those in high-level leadership roles, team with clinical and administrative partners throughout the system to drive quality and safety for our patients and our communities.We are excited to be expanding and integrating as a regional Hospital Medicine program. Whether you prefer to be at our 25-bed critical access facility in the attractive lakes region, or spend most of your time at our flagship tertiary care facility, you will have a broad array of clinical and professional opportunities. Our open positions include primarily day staff, highly incented Nocturnists, as well as hybrid options. Mentoring and support for career growth has resulted in our team leading an award winning Palliative Care program, certified Acute Rehab unit, and the only Hospital Medicine Fellowship in northern New England. As clinician educator we also provide inpatient training for core medical students from the University of New England and our unopposed Family Medicine Residency Program. Ski enthusiasts, in particular, will love this area for its ski slopes –these unique ski slopes, created by the townspeople in the 1930’s, spell the word “LOVE”.Rumford Region: A beautiful, rural area, the town is located in west-central Maine’s Oxford County and is surrounded by forests, mountains, rivers, and lakes. This area boasts many recreational opportunities for boating, swimming and fishing; and it’s also home to the largest waterfall east of Niagara. The business district of the town is located on “The Island” located between the Androscoggin River and the canals.
