At Flint Hills Area Transportation Agency (ATA Bus), our Bus Operators are the foundation of our mission: to provide and promote the highest quality transit services to the Flint Hills communities.
Our riders count on each Bus Operator to provide safe and reliable public transportation services in Manhattan, Junction City, Ft. Riley, and parts of Pottawatomie County.
We are hiring immediately for a Part-time Bus Operator that is friendly, reliable, and safety focused. Join our team!
What Our Bus Operators Do:
Provide reliable transportation services to the public by operating the vehicles safely and carefully.Inspect vehicles by checking gas, oil, and water levels before departure.Utilize software using a tablet device to track vehicle and rider information.Always observe all traffic rules and other applicable laws and regulations.Adhere to KDOT regulations when riders using wheelchairs are boarding or exiting.Communicate effectively and interact with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.Able to work all shifts, including evenings and weekends, and work overtime as needed.
