The Financial Analyst develops and reports financial and operational metrics on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis while coordinating input from departments within the organization. The Analyst supports and refines models used to effectively determine and measure business unit and company performance in a timely, accurate, and controlled fashion. The Analyst is responsible for developing and providing ad-hoc reports in a relevant and digestible format that will aid key business leaders in decision making.
SPECIAL NOTE: Candidate must be able to commute 3x per week to our Yardley, PA office
Responsibilities:
Prepares monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and periodic strategic business plans for revenues, expenses, staffing levels, and operational metricsDetermines optimal business drivers (e.g. customer volumes, unit revenues/unit costs, and staff efficiency levels) for modeling of accurate and timely projections and scenarios using rate-volume analysis, historical trend analysis, and input from business and operational managersDevelops and monitors the impact of process change initiatives on staff efficiency levelsPrepares concise variance analysis and commentary for presentations to senior management, including analysis of business risks, opportunities, and actual versus expected resultsAssists management with company and department directivesEnsures an adequately detailed and reliable forecasting and budgeting process for the company; develops and monitor departmental annual budget and monthly forecasts; performs and communicates variance analysis; ensures all projections are accurate, comprehensive and completed on timeImplements company-wide cost allocation tool; provides a high level of thought process to drive improvement; recommends areas for improvementSpearheads projects to enhance the reporting and analytical infrastructureDevelops and presents financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for new product development, long-term contracts and ad-hoc financial projectsActs as a financial liaison to the business units across the companyProvides support and guidance to the Financial Analysts I and IIOther duties as assignedAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar's reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree finance, accounting, economics, business, or mathematics required5 years of financial reporting, cost allocation, planning and budget management experience preferredFamiliarity with enterprise financial reporting and planning applications preferredAdvanced spreadsheet, database management, SQL knowledge, experience with Power BI and analytical skills a plusExcellent communication skills both written and oralProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and ExcelDetailed oriented and self-motivatedAbility to work with minimal supervision or within a team environmentAdvanced knowledge cost benefit, cost allocation, budgeting, and forecasting
