Summary:

Serves as the grants administrative manager under the general direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) of the MetroHealth System (MHS) portion of the Case Western Reserve University Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA). Responsible for managing grant-related deliverables, managing budget, and drafting quarterly and annual grant progress reports. Serves as the administrative manager for the CRU services, during and for the life cycle of projects that use or plan to use the CRU resources. Acts as primary programmatic support to the Medical Director of Clinical Trials. Implements, maintains, coordinates, and monitors various aspects of other CRU research projects. Responsible for human resource allocation, and regulatory compliance. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in related field. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, in addition to the experience stated below. 4 years of research experience in budget preparation and management. Proficiency with MS Office, primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated knowledge of grant budgeting, cost analysis, and manpower planning. Ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality. Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Good organization and problem-solving skills Good motivational skills Excellent management skills Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred: Master’s degree. Clinical RN nursing experience. Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements in conducting research. Experience with Lawson, Peoplesoft, or similar financial and grants management software. Supervisory experience. Strategic planning experience.

Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer. Ability to staff community events.
