As a Data & Analytics Manager, the candidate will be responsible for data governance, data manipulation, data integration, data acquisition, building metrics and report generation. Successful candidate will be very hands on analyzing raw data, developing, and maintaining datasets, improving data quality and efficiency and deliver data-based insights and solutions. The candidate will own end-to-end delivery of data products, systems and data journey for given business processes supported by data analytics.
Responsibilities
Leads a data delivery team onshore / offshore and delivers Business Intelligence metrics, reports, data conversions and mapping.Collects, clarifies and translates data requirements into documentation and conceptual design.Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks, and workflow analysis.Being accountable and own the development, delivery and documentation of data management and BI solutions (analytics, reporting, dashboard). Create roadmap, milestones for maturing the analytics and management space.Responsible of working on data dictionary, data mapping, data lineage and data transformations keeping close attentions to data integrity, data quality and timely delivery of the relevant data.Designs and implements data solution by inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusion and supporting decision-making.Evaluates organizational methods and provides source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for data sets.Support data storage and integration solutions including databases, warehousing and BI solutions.Maintains a holistic view of information assets by creating and maintaining blueprints that illustrate how information is stored, processed, and accessedCreate dashboards, KPIs and build data visualizations to draw up trends, patterns, and outliers. Modify existing reports, extracts, dashboards, and cubes as necessary.Design and maintain data models used for reporting and analytics by extracting data from structured and unstructured sources.Help the broader team identify new features and business opportunities through data analysis.Enable self-service BI capabilities for users to be able to slice and dice information as needed.Monitor and tune BI tools, data integrations to ensure optimum level of performance.Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud, data services, SQL, Integration toolsets, PowerBI.Responsible of working on data dictionary, data mapping, data lineage and data transformations keeping close attentions to data integrity, data quality and timely delivery of the relevant data.Creates best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualizationDevelop & Maintain inventory of the enterprise data. Ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data practices, policies, and standards both at a technical and functional level.Lead ad-hoc business deep dive analysis and present findings to senior leadership.Propose data schema and data flow optimization for reporting performance and enhancement as needed. Uses current knowledge of business and technology to recommend systems and process improvements.Partners with architecture and solution delivery teams to enable BI/data applications that have long-term value.Identify and implement automation across development and delivery processesRequirements and skills
Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or information systems.Strong understanding of data engineering principles and processes8+ yrs Experience with SQL, SQL Server, ETL, SSRS, SSIS, PowerBI, SSAS software, systems, and programs.8+ yrs Experience with Agile, Python, Datawarehouse (Azure Data warehousing), Azure Cloud, TSQL, and R language software and systems.6+ yrs Experience with Data ingestion, Data processing and Data publishing methodologiesFluent in statistics, datasets, and scripting.Understanding data modeling, data schemas (normalized, flat, star, snowflake, etc.).Understanding database operations and optimization for RDBMS like SQL ServerExperience in extracting data from structured (RDBMS) and unstructured sources (flat files)Understanding data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques.Creating and maintaining business requirements and other technical documentation.Proven experience in leading engineering teams.Possess excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills
