Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop processes, define controls, and institute effective scrap elimination efforts on assigned parts.Write, issue, and continually update Engineering instructions.Manage activities to stay on schedule for product release, while maintaining budgeted development and part costs.Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.Continuously evaluate/improve processes that maintain or improve upon budgeted yields.Conduct dimensional probability studies.Initiate, complete, and submit product qualifications.Develop and implement part specific procedures.Use statistical and graphical analysis techniques to disposition yield and dimensional elements of the casting process.Develop conceptual designs of required tooling and coordinate detailed design and build instructions with in house and outside tool rooms.Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials or other related Engineering discipline.Hands-on experience in the airfoils investment casting industry a plusProven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement abilityWorking knowledge of process control methodsDemonstrated ability to develop & execute action plans that will deliver resultsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to lead programs/projectsProficiency in a major, industry standard 3D CAD software packageWorking knowledge of Zero-Defect Program: PFMEA, Control Plan, Process ControlSix Sigma Certification a plusMust be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident (green card holder)
