Experienced practitioner in a highly quantitative role contributing to the valuation and management of the Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) portfolio. Perform valuation of MSR assets, develop quantitative models and assumptions, produce analytics.
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.
Specific activities may change from time to time.
Perform valuation and financial reporting processes for the MSR portfolio.
Contribute to the development of and performance monitoring of quantitative models and assumption used in the valuation process.
Perform forecasting and stress testing processes, produce associated reporting and attribute results.
Perform data analytics and research, prepare and present presentation materials.
Clearly present and communicate results to senior management.
Identity process improvement, develop, enhance and implement a best practice MSR valuation and modeling approach.
Prepare and aggregate daily and monthly servicing data for ingestion into the valuation framework.
Troubleshoot/resolve issues involving data, automated processes, and technology infrastructure
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as finance, computer science, engineering, economics, or math
2+ years of experience as an MSR valuation analyst or similar role in MSR hedging and/or mortgage banking/pipeline valuation
Understanding of behavioral & option pricing models, fixed income valuation, statistical concepts and quantitative methods.
Experience in valuation using an industry standard valuation framework such as QRM or Polypaths.
Mastery of Microsoft Excel and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as finance, computer science, engineering, economics, or math
5+ years of experience as an MSR valuation analyst or similar role in MSR hedging and/or mortgage banking/pipeline valuation
Certified SAS user CFA, FRM or similar designation
Programming experience
