GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

FLSA: Hourly

Supports District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. Monitors SEON video, pulls and reviews tapes, archives and maintains footage. Communicates with each site regarding discipline recommendations to support District, schools, principals and transportation staff in efforts to foster a safe and orderly environment for students. Communicates with PTT provider, orders and Assists the Director of Transportation in maintaining mileage reports for the 100-day report. Coordinates with local authorities in project planning for road construction. Performing related secretarial, dispatch and computer tasks as needed for operating an efficient running Transportation Department.

MAJOR TASKS

:Schedules maintenance and maintains audio and visual SEON equipment on the district fleet.Communicates professionally with school personnel when recommending discipline measures.In the absence of the Field Trip Coordinator, will assist in daily trip scheduling and billing.Installation of car seats in District vehicles.Assist in daily route coverages/dispatching.Assists with coordinating evacuation measures in the event an emergency occurs.Operates office equipment including computers; scanner, 10 key, copy machine and two-way radio.Maintains PTT service.Attends Staff Meetings.Performs all duties of a school bus driver when needed.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS

:

High school graduate or equivalent, and/or appropriate mechanical experience.Knowledge of or willing to learn appropriate record keeping management.Possess effective interpersonal communication skills.Knowledge of office equipment.Arizona Commercial Driver's License, Class "B" with a "P" and "S" Endorsements and an Arizona School Bus Driver's Certificate.
