The Category Manager will collaborate with various internal teams, including Inventory Optimization, Sourcing, Category Management, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless vendor management and product lifecycle oversight.The Category Manager will also spearhead efforts to streamline processes, address supply chain challenges, and enhance the overall customer value proposition. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to apply broad marketing and merchandising knowledge to drive category performance.The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative and supportive team environment, embracing new challenges and opportunities to innovate within the sourced products department. This role offers significant responsibility and independence, making it a perfect fit for individuals who are passionate about creating processes, trailblazing new initiatives, and contributing to the growth and success of Lennox International.Key Responsibilities :The development, execution, and optimization of a category's performance to drive growth and profitabilityConduct regular market analysis and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities and threats. Develop strategies to capitalize on market trends and address potential challenges.Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve product offerings and enhance customer satisfaction.Developing and implementing new processes that will improve the customer experienceCollaborate with Category Managers, Pricing Manager, Supplier Management, Sales, Supply Chain and Inventory Optimization to set up and maintain Parts & Supplies vendors.Establish and track key performance metrics for the category. Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and action plans.Coordinate with Sourcing, Category Management, Pricing Manager and Supply Chain to update and maintain product costing, information records, and source lists.Up-to-date knowledge of current trends and best practices in retailEnsure alignment of category strategies and seamless execution of initiatives within our 250 storesMonitor vendor supply and pricing agreements to ensure negotiated deliverables.Own the product life-cycle for parts and aftermarket product categories.Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Requires at least 1 year of related experience.A customer-centric mindset.Comfortable with change, adapting to new situations, and making decisions without complete informationUnderstanding of approaches to assessing and improving the customer value proposition.Ability to apply broad marketing and merchandising knowledge, including category management life-cycle, competitive positioning, and communications.Strong cross-functional leadership abilities.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with experience using analytical tools and software to drive decision-making.A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the category management function.Strong negotiation skills with experience in securing favorable terms with vendors and suppliers.
