Ayuda is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing direct legal, social and language access services, education, and outreach to low-income immigrants in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Since 1973, Ayuda has provided critical services on a wide range of issues, in the process acquiring nationally recognized expertise in several fields including immigration law, language access, domestic violence and human trafficking. Ayuda has office locations in Washington, DC, Silver Spring, MD and Fairfax, VA.

Development Operations (50%)
Assist the development team with donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts, including drafting thank-you letters, managing donor data, and conducting donor research.Manage the maintenance and renewal of various applications, including charity rating sites and third-party donation campaigns.Assist with maintaining and updating Ayuda's donor database, ensuring accurate record-keeping for gifts, pledges, and contacts.Support event planning for Ayuda's annual fundraising events, such as the Standing with Immigrants Spring Event, and manage logistics, invitations, and follow-up.Track fundraising metrics and provide reports to the development team and leadership.Executive Assistant to Executive Director (25%)
Provide high-level administrative support to the ED, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing necessary materials.Coordinate board and board committee meetings, including the preparation of agendas, minutes, and reports.Draft correspondence, emails, reports, and presentations for internal and external meetings.Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the ED as needed.Communications Support (25%)
Assist in creating and distributing content for Ayuda's social media, newsletters, website, and other platforms.Draft and copy edit press releases, event promotions, and other external communications.Coordinate with external vendors for design, printing, and other communications needs.Develop promotional materials for Ayuda's programs and events.Monitor news impacting Ayuda's client communities and circulate relevant pieces to Ayuda's Senior Leadership team and Dev/Comms team to ensure situational awareness, while also tracking media mentions.Support buildout and organization of communications file libraries, including program materials, photos, logos, bios/headshots, etc.Help maintain the "Bird's Eye View" calendar of events, awareness days, and initiatives.Requirements

Eligibility Requirements :
Must be legally able to work in the United States and maintain proper work authorization throughout employment. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position presented in a general office environment. Satisfactory results from a background check to include criminal history and a search of the employee's name against a national registry of sex offenders.
This position is hybrid and will include both in-person and remote workdays.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a nonprofit setting, preferably in a development, communications, or executive assistant role.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with high attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with donor databases or CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).Proficiency in Canva and WordPressProficiency in Constant Contact, or a similar email marketing platformPassion for Ayuda's mission and commitment to immigrant and human rights issues.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred.SALARY AND BENEFITS

The anticipated salary for this position is $62,000 - $70,000 depending on experience.
