The Infrastructure Architect proactively leads and supports architecture activities that guide the development and management of technical and infrastructure solutions. The technical architect creates artifacts which help develop target-state guidance (standards, guidelines, individual parts, platforms and configurations) for evolving the technical infrastructure across the enterprise. The resulting solutions are agile and capable of meeting the organizations current and future-state business capabilities and they drive the organizations targeted business outcomes. The Infrastructure Architect understands a broad range of technologies and can articulate technical architecture design decisions and the value that they create. This individual will be responsible for three main things leading and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver business outcomes, derives future-state technology architecture, and analyze both new and existing technology. Technologies that the Infrastructure Architect will work with include data center infrastructure, cloud, mobile, smart-manufacturing and edge computing. Additional day to day activities include the following:-Periodically reviews infrastructure related technology roadmaps and evaluates them against both the internal and external environment to maintain a clear technology direction.-Guides technology investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation to drive value-adding business outcomes while ensuring nonfunctional requirements are met.-Assists with designing the governance and standards activities associated with ensuring technology architecture compliance of projects and products.-Periodic analysis of the technical environment to detect critical deficiencies, opportunities for improvement, and other options, then recommends solutions for improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum five years of design and implementation experience in IT, with a deep knowledge of the following technical disciplines:ServersStorageNetworksUnderstanding of lifecycle management, configuration management, impact, and risk analysisAbility to lead an effort and work with external vendors, vetting technology, and managing outcomesAble to be onsite 3 days a week.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience-Bachelors degree in a related field-Experience with cloud technologies-Experience in the manufacturing industry
