About the Role
HomeSafe Alliance is seeking highly skilled executive leader for the Vice President Freight, Global Household Goods Military Moving Services to manage and optimize military household goods shipments in the lower 48 Continental United States (CONUS). Responsibilities include but not limited to schedule, delivery, performance, quality, safety, cost control, P&L, Service Provider relationships, and customer satisfaction.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Lead all efforts in freight analysis and non-traditional services. Will assist in purchasing and optimizing all modes of freight other than traditional moving services. Modes can include Full truck load, less than truck load, rail and ocean opportunities. VP will assist in Domestic, International and air freight and support all operational and commercial teams.
Continuous process improvement of HomeSafe domestic military household goods shipments optimization; partnering with VP of Domestic and International for successful execution and margin expansion.
Implement LEAN operating tools and techniques to ensure cost controls, on time pickup and on-time delivery, safety, improve customer satisfaction survey ratings, and instill positive employee relations.
Achieve Global Household Goods Contract (GHC), Performance Work Statement (PWS), Contract Deliverable Requirements List performance measures.
Responsible for domestic Household Goods CONUS Operations financial Profit & Loss performance to annual budget for Revenue, Op Income, and Margin.
Collaborate Transportation Service Provider business leaders across the HomeSafe domestic continental united states (CONUS) military household goods enterprise to increase military household goods movement capacity and customer satisfaction levels.
Identify and develop cost avoidance and cost savings business case opportunities to drive revenue growth, improve efficiencies, and improve quality of service for the customer.
Develop business cases with feasible ROI for alternate transportation and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) services.
Develop strategic relationships with Household Goods Moving Service Provider companies while ensuring scalability and conformance with HomeSafe performance standards.
Develop, coach, and mentor military household good moves employees.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Master’s In Transportation / Supply Chain Management or MBA degree preferred.
10+ years of related commercial / military Household Goods moving / relocation transportation and logistics industry management experience.
3 years Executive Vice President of high-volume military / corporate / COD Household Goods moving / relocation across 48 domestic continental United States experience preferred.
Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements
Prior successful Profit and Loss P&L management for over $100M annual revenue preferred.
